Essential Check-In Requirements

To maintain a healthy, safe, and comfortable environment for every guest in our care, we ask that all cat owners adhere to the following entry conditions:

De-Sexed Cats

For the comfort, peace, and safety of all our guests, we only accept cats that have been de-sexed.

Current Vaccination Certificate

You must present an up-to-date vaccination certificate upon check-in. Protecting our cattery community against infectious diseases is our top priority.

Flea & Worming Treatments

All cats must have an effective, up-to-date flea and worming treatment applied before their arrival.

Have a question about vaccination dates or health requirements? Give our friendly Llandilo team a call before your check-in date—we are always here to guide you.

Tips for a Smooth & Stress-Free Check-In

A calm departure sets the tone for a relaxed holiday. Here are a few simple ways you can help your cat settle into cattery life with ease:

  1. Use a Secure Cat Carrier: For everyone's safety, all guests must arrive and depart in a clean, escape-proof, hard-shell or sturdy carrier.
  2. Pack Familiar Scents: You are welcome to pack a small bag with your cat's favourite bedding or toys. A worn t-shirt with your scent on it can provide immense comfort while they adjust to their temporary surroundings.
  3. Bring Food & Medication Instructions: If your cat is on a prescription diet or requires specific medication, please bring sufficient supplies along with clear written instructions.
  4. Create a Helpful Checklist: Jot down a quick list covering your cat's dietary habits, medication schedules, favourite chin-scratch spots, vet contact details, and an emergency secondary contact.
  5. Keep Send-Offs Positive: Cats are remarkably perceptive to our emotions! Offer a little treat, a gentle cuddle, and a reassuring goodbye. Your calm confidence reassures them that they are in safe hands.

Boarding Requirements & Health

What specific vaccinations are required for boarding?

All cats staying with us must be up to date with their vaccinations (minimum F3 vaccination, covering Feline Enteritis and Feline Calicivirus / Rhinotracheitis). Your vet certificate must show that the booster was administered at least two weeks before check-in and within the last twelve months.

What happens if my cat becomes unwell during their stay?

Your cat's health and safety are our highest priorities. If your cat shows any signs of illness or distress, we will contact you or your nominated emergency contact immediately. If required, we will arrange for immediate treatment with your local vet or our trusted call-out veterinarian.

Can you administer medication for senior cats or medical conditions?

Yes! Our experienced staff can administer most routine medications, including liquid drops, and supplements. Please discuss your cat's specific medical needs with us at the time of booking so we can prepare their care plan.

Accommodation & Belongings

Can I bring my cat's bedding or favourite toys?

Absolutely. Bringing along a favourite blanket, bed, or plush toy helps your cat feel right at home. The familiar scent of home goes a long way in easing any initial arrival anxiety.

Can cats from the same household share an enclosure?

Yes! Our spacious enclosures are ideal for feline family members who enjoy each other's company. Sharing an enclosure can provide extra comfort and reassurance during their stay.

Is the cattery temperature-controlled?

Yes. Our purpose-built cattery is fully insulated with natural light and features air conditioning to keep older or sensitive cats cool and comfortable during hot summer days, as well as cosy warming options during cooler months.

Feeding & Daily Care

What if my cat has dietary preferences or special needs?

We provide delicious, high-quality daily meals, but we understand that cats can be selective eaters! You are more than welcome to bring your cat’s regular food from home to keep their diet consistent and prevent tummy upsets.

Will my cat receive attention and playtime during their stay?

Yes! Our staff shower every guest with abundant Tender Love and Care (TLC). From daily strokes and gentle brushings to interactive playtime with toys, we ensure your cat feels cherished and engaged throughout their visit.

Can I receive photo or video updates while I'm away?

We know how much you miss your fur baby while travelling. Upon request, we are delighted to send regular updates and video clips straight to your phone so you can see how contented and relaxed your cat is.

Bookings & Billing

Why are check-in and pick-up times by appointment only?

Scheduling individual check-in windows allows us to keep the cattery environment calm and quiet, minimising stress from loud disruptions or sudden arrivals. It also ensures we have dedicated time to talk through your pet's needs with you.

What is your minimum stay requirement?

We have a minimum 2-day booking rate for short-term stays. This ensures your cat has sufficient time to settle in, adjust to our gentle routine, and enjoy a relaxing environment rather than feeling rushed.

How far in advance should I book for peak holiday periods?

Because we maintain a boutique facility focused on individualised attention, our suites fill up very quickly during Easter, Christmas, and school holiday periods. We strongly recommend booking several weeks to months in advance for peak travel seasons.
